Oozle Media Gives to the Homeless

Oozle's Office Manager, Amy Kunz, and PR Director, Shannon Egan, delivered the Zoobies to the Road Home in Salt Lake City.

Caught up in the spirit of giving, Oozle Media donated a handful of Zoobies Story Time Pillow Pets to the Road Home on Friday, December 23rd. The toys were originally donated to Oozle’s sister company, Half Price Utah, by Zoobies, a toy company created by two young brothers in Provo who shared a common desire to invent something fun, innovative and functional. Coming from a large family of nine children, the Zoobies creators saw the need to consolidate what one could bring on long road trips and family excursions; something to make life easier for mom. Oozle Media debated over where the toys would be most needed during the holiday season and researched various charities throughout the Salt Lake Valley. Due to the large number of children and families in need at the Road Home, Oozle felt this was the best option. The Road Home is a private non-profit social service agency that assists individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake County and along the Wasatch Front. Their mission is to help people step out of homelessness and back into our community.

Originally established in 1923 to assist stranded travelers, the Road Home has grown to address a spectrum of needs that people experiencing homelessness encounter as they work to restore their lives. In addition to operating the largest shelter in Utah, the Road Home has developed a comprehensive housing program that helps people move into housing as quickly as possible.
